The tools developed so far for its evaluation have produced consistent results. However, some dimensions may be underestimated due complexity of factors influencing VL. Moreover, heterogeneity methods used in studies employing these hinders a comprehensive understanding role even more. To overcome limitations, path has been sought propose new instruments. Background/Objectives: Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, vaccination rates for preventable diseases, including influenza, have significantly dropped among racially and ethnically minoritized (REM) individuals in United States. This study explored effects of a community-based educational intervention designed to improve influenza vaccine literacy acceptance vulnerable REM individuals. Methods: The included four 45 min interactive sessions on vaccine. session attendees (18+) were invited participate pre-/post-intervention where an anonymous survey measured their post-COVID-19 attitudes, knowledge, behaviors regarding virus To assess effect literacy, we used Mann–Whitney U test differences between responses seven knowledge-based questions. Descriptive statistics employed impact acceptance. Results: A total 116 participants completed pre-intervention survey, 90 (78%) post-intervention survey. All (100%) identified as REM, 99% lived highly areas. Only 43% believed they at risk viral infection before intervention, but 60% said helped them reassess risk. We found significant when comparing responses, particularly guideline-based recommendations (p < 0.05). Before 65% indicated high likelihood receiving In contrast, after 81% respondents being vaccinated, 72% that “extremely likely” receive immunization. Conclusions: Community-based interventions can positive populations era.

Prevention of infectious diseases is based on host protection, especially using vaccines. Several factors have been linked to the acceptance vaccines in population. Chile achieved high COVID-19 vaccination coverage early pandemic. The study aimed determine prevalence antigens and antibodies, status, geographical distribution, related vaccine acceptability. In two Chilean cities, fourth round a population-based seroprevalence cross-sectional survey was conducted May 2024. 654 participants aged seven or older were recruited. After signing consent, interviewed, blood samples taken identify antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 ELISA, assessed through nasal swab rapid test. Territorial analysis dose distribution carried out. All tested negative for positive SARS-CoV-2, with an overall uptake rate 98,5%. However, their status heterogeneous. showed slight clustering doses both cities. 52.7% had basic scheme and/or boosters, 32.1% bivalent vaccine, 13.7% anti-Omicron. It is well known that, to be effective, vaccination programs require a high and consistent population uptake. Nevertheless, vaccine coverage often insufficient. University students occupy unique position within the broader population: they are highly mobile socially active individuals who serve as influential figures among their peers younger age groups, making them an ideal target for educational campaigns. This review (CRD42022309724) quantified intention rates routine immunizations in university systematically examined determinants of acceptance. Cross-sectional studies that analyzed at least one immunization using multivariable logistic regression were included. We used random-effects models calculate pooled proportions intention. Determinants categorized into contextual factors (such socio-demographic, economic cultural factors), individual/group knowledge, awareness, peer opinions, infection risk perceptions) vaccine-specific issues effectiveness policies). This research follows the publication of recent scoping and systematic reviews existing literature on vaccine literacy (VL), its relationship to hesitancy (VH), associated variables, such as vaccination beliefs, attitudes, behaviors towards immunization. In this review, 17 articles were selected, published between December 2022 November 2023, in which VL tools used, most support notion a negative association VH, although not confirmed by others. Moreover, definitions variables under consideration homogeneous studies, some aimed evaluate with confidence, while others more focused outcomes willingness be vaccinated or uptake.
