Current AI detectors demonstrate significant technical limitations, including high false-positive and false-negative rates, show bias against non-native English speakers. We argue that detection-focused approaches in writing foster an atmosphere of distrust anxiety, while collaborative integration enhances learning outcomes student engagement. Successful requires clear institutional guidelines on detection, training for educators students, a focus process over product assessment. By shifting from policing mindset to trust-based educational framework, this method aims promote academic integrity, engagement, responsible use college writing.
