Abstract This study details the methodology of a case conducted with children aged 6–7 on COVID-19, emphasizing their important roles as co-researchers. During study, children’s competencies were highlighted, and voices listened to minimal adult interference. The research was using with-children method, 14 first-grade students from private primary school in Istanbul, Turkey, actively contributed. Children participated researchers through drawings, photographs, individual group interviews. process revealed that when choose topics create questions, they enthusiastically engage take ownership learning, fostering leadership active participation. Research involving should not be viewed merely asking questions adults. Using participant-friendly methods can enhance enjoyment meaning for everyone involved.
