The impact of the reform of rural collective property rights system on villagers’ public participation: An empirical study based on CRRS 2020 data DOI Creative Commons

The reform of rural collective property rights system is great significance for protecting the asset and interests villagers, activating resource elements, achieving revitalization. This study based on 284 village committee questionnaires 7451 villager from 10 provinces in China, uses multi-layer linear regression models to explore impact villagers’ public participation. Research has found that:(1) that been completed at level can significantly enhance participation including total (β = 0.102, p ≤ 0.1), interest expression 0.044, election voting 0.076, 0.05). However, volunteer service not significant -0.004, p>0.1); (2)mechanism analysis shows reduce probability migration work, thus participation; (3)heterogeneity reveals a greater suburban villages with better economy; (4)further discovers villagers have heard their comprehensively explores spillover effects individual through use more accurate measurement indicators, empirical methods, large-scale authoritative data, providing strong support proposing strategies promote villages’
