For environmental monitors, relationships matter in multiple ways: insights from a research collaboration in South Africa

The literature identifies several challenges facing natural resource management collaboration, from structural conditions like corruption to divergent interests, skewed decision-making powers and logistical, communications information failures. case study on which we base this paper examines a successful collaboration between university-based scientists citizen environmental monitors in rural region of South Africa. Tsitsa project aimed create benefits for people environment, through collaborative research towards sustainable management. However, was not given, the lessons learnt regard form gist paper. Interrelated transformative process dynamics in the face of resource nexus challenges: an invitation towards cross case analysis
