We microscopically analyze the nearest neighbor Heisenberg model on maple-leaf lattice through neural quantum states (NQS) and infinite density matrix renormalization group (iDMRG). Embarking to parameter regimes beyond exact dimer singlet ground state with a bond spin exchange coupling $J_d$ varied against strength $J$ of all other bonds, iDMRG finds paramagnetic phase for $J_d/J > 1.464$ ($J_d/J 1.39$) canted $120^\circ$ magnetic order < 1.419$ 1.23$). Assessing training convergence inaccuracies NQS influence finite cylindric circumference iDMRG, we discuss possible existence an intermediate between magnet paramagnet.

We use the spin functional renormalization group to investigate ${J}_{1}\text{\ensuremath{-}}{J}_{2}$ quantum Heisenberg model on a square lattice. By incorporating sum rules associated with fixed length of operators as well nontrivial dynamics implied by algebra, we are able compute ground state phase diagram for arbitrary $S$, including paramagnetic at strong frustration. Our prediction extent this region $S=1/2$ agrees other approaches that computationally more expensive. find disappears $S\ensuremath{\gtrsim}5$ due suppression fluctuations increasing $S$.

Motivated by recent numerical studies reporting putative quantum paramagnetic behavior in spin-1/2 Heisenberg models on the maple-leaf lattice, we classify Abrikosov fermion mean-field Ansätze of fully symmetric U (1) and Z2 spin liquids within framework projective symmetry groups. We obtain a total 17 12 algebraic PSGs, and, upon restricting their realization via with nearestneighbor amplitudes (relevant to studied models), only 8 distinct phases are obtained. We present both singlet triplet fields for all up third nearest-neighbor bonds discuss spinon dispersions as well dynamical structure factors. We further assess effects Gutzwiller projection equal-time factors, identify Fermi surface liquid whose factor most closely reproduces one obtained from pseudo-fermion functional renormalization group calculations.
