Abstract The lightly Zn-doped (PbS) 1− x (Zn) thin films were synthesized by the thermal deposition technique. structure, morphology, and elemental analyses carried out XRD, SEM, EDS, respectively, characterised UV–VIS–NIR spectroscopy. optical absorption, transmission, reflection have been studied analysed. linear non-linear parameters determined, explained, compared with reported results. effects of Zn-doping, film thickness, annealing temperature on NLO-parameters considered. better 2.78 × 10 –10 2.93 esu values refractive index n 2 3rd-order polarizability χ (3) , attained 0.97 0.03 150 nm thick annealed at 200 °C.

Abstract The overuse of industrial dyes and anti-bacterial drugs are destroying fresh water reservoirs making bacteria more resistant, respectively. To sort out these problems, we have synthesized Cerium doped Nickel-Cobalt mixed ferrites (Ce-@NCMF) with chemical composition [Ni 0.4 Co 0.6 Ce x Fe 2-x O 4 (where = 0.00, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 0.25)] via co-precipitation method. Influence cerium doping on the structural, optical, electrical, magnetic, photocatalytic properties Ce-@NCMF studied. Powder x-ray diffraction analysis (PXRD) confirmed synthesis Ce-@NCMF. Decrease crystallite size from 29.71 to 24.95 nm was observed increase in dopant concentration. Tauc’s plot indicated decrease energy bandgap 2.10 1.89 eV concentration, which revealed absorption light visible region generate electron–hole pairs for applications. FTIR spectra presence M-O bonds as major functional group present Electrical demonstrated prominent electrical conductivity Ce-doping. VSM performed analyse magnetic materials showed saturation magnetization value 84.66 19.85 emu g −1 . Owing optical region, all samples were evaluated their potential degradation methylene blue. at 25% maximum efficiency (95%) under sunlight irradiation 90 min. Kinetic studies dye followed pseudo-1st order kinetics rate constant (k) 2.78×10 −2 min Antibacterial activity results bioactive nature against strains consistent samples. Smallest found most active gram-negative bacterial strains.
