All around the world, inequalities persist in complex web of social, economic, and ecological factors that mediate food security outcomes at different human institutional scales. There have been rapid continuous improvements agricultural productivity better many regions world during past 50 years due to an expansion crop area, irrigation, supportive policy initiatives. However, Sub-Saharan Africa, situation is inverted. Statistics show insecurity has risen since 2015 African countries, worsened owing Ukraine conflict ongoing implications COVID-19 threat. This review looks into multidimensional challenges achieving SDG2 goal “End hunger, achieve improved nutrition, promote sustainable agriculture” Africa prosper recommendations for action. Findings indicate weak economic growth, gender inequality, high inflation, low productivity, investment irrigated agriculture research, climate change, population poor frameworks, infrastructural development, corruption are major hurdles sustaining Africa. Promoting investments infrastructure extension services together with implementing policies targeted enhancing households’ purchasing power, especially those rural regions, appear be essential drivers improving both availability access.

Sustainability emphasises the importance of increasing resource efficiency infrastructure. The usage geosynthetic materials in civil and environmental engineering can significantly influence sustainability at planning design stages infrastructure construction projects. They are used many different applications engineering, as they provide a better longer performance less costly solutions than traditional (such sand, gravel, concrete cement). Additional benefits be achieved by combining geosynthetics with various recycled substitutes for high-quality natural materials. In this paper, geosynthetics-based is discussed. possibilities using sustainable development have been analysed resulting from their application, such reduction carbon footprint release greenhouse gases saving water other resources, assessed. Innovative that support mitigation measures, adaptation to climate change achievement goals presented.

Natural hazards bring significant influences on and socioeconomic loss to cities communities. Historic events show that fire following earthquake (FFE) is the most influential uncertain disturbance urban infrastructure system. Under FFE scenario, concept of resilience widely implemented make up shortcomings derived from traditional disaster management methodology. Resilient communities are required improve systemic performance in responding FFE. To fulfill these goals, measuring community an essential work for municipal policy makers. Therefore, this study conducted a comprehensive assessment adapted scenario. The systematic literature review (SLR) was employed identify indicators, analytic network process (ANP) technique determine their weights. 20 indicators were extracted, 4 encountered China selected empirical analysis. Thereafter, preference ranking organization method enriched evaluation (PROMETHEE) II through using multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods selection framework assessment. results discussed demonstrated with graphical interactive aid (GAIA) technique. findings revealed G Community won highest score had strongest performance. However, H lowest weakest proposed could benefit decision-makers executors achieving scenario by improving effective indicators.
