Abstract The combination of electrospun nanofibers and nanoparticles is opening up potential in the field bifunctional materials. Herein, polystyrene (PS, Mw ≈ 260, 000), polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP, ≈1, 300, poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA, 350, 000) fibers containing Tb(acac) 3 phen complexes (acac: acetylacetone, phen: 1,10-phenanthroline) Fe O 4 (NPs) were synthesized by single-fluid electrospinning method. structure microfibers was characterized x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission (TEM), energy spectrum (EDAX) infrared (IR). average diameters PS, PVP PMMA are 1.65, 0.313 0.571 μm, respectively. All soft ferromagnetic. In addition, mechanical performances these studied. maximum stress, strain corresponding stress elastic modulus sample PVP-Fe-Tb largest, which indicates tensile performance best.
