The widespread adoption of mobile phones in daily life has raised concerns regarding their impact on mental health, including among postpartum women. Considering the rising prevalence depression (PPD) and pervasive use modern society, this study aimed to rigorously investigate causal relationship between phone duration risk developing PPD. Data were collected through an online survey assessing usage health survey’s reliability validity evaluated using Statistical Package for Social Sciences software. In total, 2015 participants completed survey. To explore relationships, genetic data sourced from open-access databases, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) techniques employed. analysis, chi-square tests, revealed a significant association higher lower incidence MR analysis supported these findings, indicating protective effect against PPD ( P < .05 based inverse variance weighting weighted median method). This MR-based provides evidence that increased is associated with decreased PPD, suggesting could serve as effective tool prevention. These findings highlight importance evidence-based evaluations lifestyle factors research.
