Introduction A traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the leading causes injury-related deaths, making it a public health concern extreme importance. In developing country such as Pakistan, TBIs are significantly underreported, with treatment frequently being delayed and inadequate, especially in rural healthcare setups all across country. This further magnified by insufficient epidemiological data on available Pakistan. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic brought consequential changes to system priority shifting toward COVID-19 patients, resulting considerable workflow management TBIs. primary objective this study offer valuable insights into epidemiology Pakistan its relationship impact pandemic. Methods retrospective was conducted at tertiary care center metropolitan city Patient charts were reviewed from January August 2020, extracted including demographics, clinical presentation, management, outcomes for cases TBI. Results total number patients 2126, male 78% female 21.4%. mean age 28.85. state admissions hospital 99.7% EME 0.282% OPD admissions. Participants presented loss consciousness (70.7%), nosebleeds, (53.2%), vomiting (69.0%), seizures (11.5%). majority (51.1%) related road traffic accidents, followed falls (20.7%), assaults (4%). While 1202 (58.5%) these managed conservatively, others underwent surgical form craniotomy (28.0%), Burr holes (3.20%), fracture elevation repair (10.5%). decrease reported TBI observed lockdown implementation Conclusion transportation sector severely affected pandemic, decline injuries Stringent mobility constraints societal cultural norms have contributed reduction.
