BACKGROUND Rising rates of anxiety among teens necessitate innovative approaches for implementating evidence-based mental health support. Public libraries, seen as safe spaces patrons with marginalized identities offer free public services like broadband internet access, may serve promising sites implementation digital programs targeted to teens. OBJECTIVE The purpose this study is examine how who attend their local library experience anxiety, what support they are interested in receiving, and can meet needs. METHODS Teens frequent the (n = 16, M age 15.2) completed individual, semi-structured interviews designed elicit recommendations designing implementing tools libraries improve teen health. Interview transcripts were coded inductively by multiple coders synthesize key themes. RESULTS reported experiencing uncontrollability, unpredictability, anger related which managed using strategies such guided breathing, distress tolerance, social connection. Background Rising rates of anxiety among teens necessitate innovative approaches for implementing evidence-based mental health support. Public libraries, seen as safe spaces patrons with marginalized identities, offer free public services such broadband internet access. Many spend significant amounts time in their local libraries due to the safety this space well trusted adults working there. The American Library Association has shifted its priorities focus more on through employing social workers and providing programs. As such, may be promising sites implementation digital (DMH) programs teens. Objective This study aimed examine how who attended library experienced managed anxiety, what supports they were interested receiving, DMH can meet needs. Methods We interviewed 16 aged 12-18 (mean 15.2, SD 2.0) years used frequently at interviews. Of these teen patrons, 56% (9/16) identified female, 31% (5/16) male, 12% (2/16) nonbinary. Most (11/16, 69%) either White or Black African individuals, remainder (5/16, 31%) identifying Hispanic Latino Chinese individuals ≥2 races. interviews individual semistructured, designed elicit recommendations designing tools improve health. Interview transcripts coded by multiple coders using thematic analysis synthesize key themes. Results Teens reported experiencing uncontrollability, unpredictability, anger related which strategies guided breathing, distress tolerance, connection.
