Visual signals are important for mediating numerous behaviours in organisms. Frequently, brightly coloured feathers used signalling during reproductive birds. Furthermore, an increasing number of studies have documented the additional use biofluorescence as a visual cue. We investigate presence fluorescence all 45 species birds-of-paradise (Paradisaeidae), group where males exhibit elaborate feather morphology, coloration, and mating displays. show that core biofluorescent (37 representing 14 17 genera); genera except Lycocorax , Manucodia Phonygammus which comprise sister to birds-of-paradise. In males, occurs on plumage skin Biofluorescent regions vary among but include inner mouth bill, well head, neck, belly plumes. females, is usually restricted chest belly.
