Abstract This study investigates a novel pH-responsive hydrogel composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and boric acid (BA) designed for the controlled release salvianolic B (SAB), addressing critical challenge scar formation skin regeneration. The dual-crosslinked network architecture exhibits remarkable pH sensitivity, enabling it to achieve peak SAB within 48 hours in acidic microenvironment characteristic early-stage wound healing. In vitro assessments demonstrated that PVA-BA-SAB significantly inhibits fibroblast activation mitigates abnormal collagen deposition, effectively preventing excessive formation. Transcriptome sequencing reveals potential role balancing TGF-β Wnt signaling pathways. Furthermore, vivo studies revealed enhanced tissue regeneration, characterized by improved organization increased vascularization, as well promotion mature hair follicle development. hydrogel’s biocompatibility, mechanical robustness adhesive properties were also thoroughly evaluated, confirming its suitability clinical applications. These findings suggest fully exerts excellent characteristics biomaterials maximizes pharmacological effect SAB. Our innovative drug delivery system not only facilitates healing but offers strategic approach minimize scarring. research provides valuable insights into therapeutic strategies effective management repair.

Keloid scars, characterized by abnormal fibroproliferation and excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) production that extends beyond the original wound, often cause pruritus, pain, hyperpigmentation, significantly impacting quality of life. pathogenesis is multifactorial, involving genetic predisposition, immune response dysregulation, aberrant wound-healing processes. Central molecular pathways such as TGF-β/Smad JAK/STAT are important in keloid formation sustaining fibroblast activation ECM deposition. Conventional treatments, including surgical excision, radiation, laser therapies, intralesional injections, yield variable success but limited high recurrence rates potential adverse effects. Emerging therapies targeting specific pathways, small molecule inhibitors, RNA interference, mesenchymal stem cells show promise disrupting underlying mechanisms pathogenesis, potentially offering more effective lasting treatment outcomes. Despite advancements, further research essential to fully elucidate precise develop targeted therapies. Ongoing clinical trials efforts vital for translating these scientific insights into practical treatments can markedly enhance life individuals affected scars.

ABSTRACT Sensitive and precise assay of prednisolone, a steroid hormone, has received great attention due to its significant role in the treatment series diseases. In this study, we have developed simple, quick, accurate technique part measure prednisolone. Cobalt 5,10,15,20‐tetra(4‐pyridyl)‐21H,23H‐porphine (CoTPyP) as mimic peroxidase catalyzes chemiluminescence (CL) reaction lucigenin for first time. CoTPyP impact on CL signal. Furthermore, system been successfully used prednisolone flow‐injection test. The findings showed that UV irradiation led an unimolecular photochemical could enhance yield high‐energy intermediate cause higher emission. Under ideal experimental circumstances, intensity was shown be proportionate concentration range 0.1–170 μg mL −1 ( r = 0.9925, n 4). A detection limit 0.072 observed. Compared with HPLC approach, our proposed method provides sensitive, fast, efficient analysis pharmaceutical formulations biological fluids.
