ABSTRACT Recently, research into the development of solar stills has received wide attention, with aim enhancing their productivity and efficiency. This study invests energy to desalinate salt water obtain pure using distillation devices. The single‐slope still was developed be tested different geometries absorption surface. Where this investigated numerically, includes a comparative analysis conventional those equipped absorber plate (arched, polygonal, semicircular, semi‐elliptical) evaluate each performance. Using COMSOL version 6.2, 3D models were created, governing equations applied them. With area fixed at 0.25 m 2 , polygonal (PSS), semicircular (SCSS), semi‐elliptical (SESS), arc‐shaped (ACSS) geometry tested. results showed significant increase in freshwater yield, especially semi‐elliptic absorbers, where yield enhanced by 60%, compared same area. resulted 59.5% thermal efficiency still. economic perspective that cost producing 1 L decreased about 37.5%. Moreover, significantly reduced amount carbon emitted environment 54.1% traditional one, making it an important option for sustainability. concluded is most suitable domestic desalination applications.
