Abstract Neuroplasticity, a phenomenon present throughout the lifespan, is thought to be influenced by physical training. However, relationship between neuroplastic differences and attentional abilities remains unclear. This study explored in brain function professional football athletes novices, further investigated two. To address this question, we included 49 63 novices our study, collecting data on resting-state functional connectivity Attention Network Test (ANT). Behavioral results from ANT indicated that experts had superior orienting attention but weaker alerting functions compared with no difference executive control attention. fMRI revealed exhibited higher fractional Amplitude of Low-Frequency Fluctuations (fALFF) values bilateral anterior cerebellar lobes, insula, left temporal gyrus. Functional analysis showed increased lobe various cortical regions, including right supramarginal gyrus, precuneus, frontal posterior precentral gyri novices. More importantly, expert group not novice group, significantly predicted scores. Graph theoretical betweenness centrality node efficiency Cerebelum_3_R node. Our findings demonstrate long-term training may affect neuroplasticity functions. Importantly, reveals substantive connection these two aspects, suggesting integration changes likely mediated cerebellar-cortical connectivity.
