ABSTRACT Different nitrogen ( N ) doses may stimulate the photosynthetic responses of sweet potato under CO 2 ‐enriched environment (ECO ). The two varieties, Sree Arun and Kanaka, were adjudicated varying levels (0%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 125% recommended dose), exposed to ambient (400 ppm) elevated (600 800 ppm). results indicated that, compared , net rate P n intercellular C i significantly increased at ECO while stomatal conductance g s transpiration E exacerbated. This resulted in an improved intrinsic / instantaneous water use efficiency Relative humidity vapour pressure deficit during time measurements remained 73%–85% ~0.95–1.42 kPa, respectively, 28°C ± 2°C leaf temperature. Furthermore, demonstrated that higher photosynthesis plant relations by modulating rate. Overall, plants supply genotypic‐dependent, application could play important role these . findings from this study provide valuable insights for tailoring nitrogen‐based management practices a carbon‐enriched environment.

Sweetpotato is an economically important crop, and it has various advantages over other crops in addressing global food security climate change. Although substantial articles have been published on the research of aspects sweetpotato biology, there are no specific reports to systematically crystallize achievements. The current review takes lead conducting a keyword-centric spatiotemporal dimensional bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace software comprehensively clarify development status, hotspot, trend past 30 years (1993–2022). Quantitative was carried out publishing countries, institutions, disciplines, scholars understand basic status research; then, visual conducted high-frequency keywords, burst keyword clustering; evolution major hotspots different periods were summarized. Finally, three main stages—preliminary stage (1993–2005), rapid (2006–2013), diversified mature (2014–2022)—were reviewed analyzed detail. Particularly, needs production improving breeding efficiency, enhancing stress tolerance, coordinating high yield with quality resistance, promoting demand discussed, which will help dynamics from biological exploration.

Plants are constantly exposed to a diverse spectrum of environmental stressors that typically occur concurrently as multifactorial challenges, both spatially and temporally (Joshi et al., 2024). These include abiotic stresses, such drought, flooding, salinity, nutrient deficiencies, metal toxicity extreme temperatures, well biotic pressures herbivory, pathogen attacks, inter intraspecific competition (Porter 2020;González Guzmán 2022). Drought herbivory arguably among the most critical factors limit crop productivity in agricultural settings (Gautam 2024), making it imperative understand plant responses their combined effects. While conventional research has tended examine these individually, natural settings, plants frequently encounter multiple stresses either simultaneously or sequentially, leading complex interactions with consequences cascade trophic levels.Drought, major stress, induces range morphophysiological changes plants, reduced leaf area, stomatal closure, enhanced root growth characterized by increased biomass, surface volume (Farooq 2009a).
