Mountain

but
the
genetic
mechanisms
underlying
adaptation
to
harsh
alpine
conditions
remain
largely
unknown.
Bergenia
purpurascens
(Saxifragaceae)
is
an
important
endemic
species
Himalaya-Hengduan
Mountains
(HHM),
with
this
being
used
as
a
source
medicine
and
ornamental
plant.
In
study,
we
generated
high-quality
genome
assembly
comprising
scaffolds
representing
17
chromosomes,
total
length
650.70
Mb
scaffold
N50
34.19
Mb.
A
45,841
protein-coding
genes
were
annotated,
10,797
noncoding
RNAs
identified.
Repeat
sequences
accounted
for
56.72%
genome.
The

endangered
alpine
species
with
a
highly
restricted
distribution
in
the
southwestern
region
of
China,
which
possesses
significant
ornamental
and
horticultural
value.
In
this
study,
high-quality
genome
assembly
at
chromosomal
level
reported.
The
total
size
was
determined
to
be
642.25
Mb,
contig
N50
25.64
it
contains
36,522
predicted
genes.
Comparative
genomic
analysis
between
other
revealed
expansion
gene
families,
such
as
those
related
transition
metal
ion
binding
sodium
transport,
well
contraction
families
involved
recognition
pollen
pollen–pistil
interaction.
These
findings
might
explain
adaptation
rocky
habitats
contribute
its
status.
Furthermore,
heat
stress
experiment
conducted
on
platypodum,
followed
by
transcriptome
sequencing

co-analysis

Abstract
Caprifoliaceae
sensu
