This study examined the alignment of internship tasks with interns’ academic qualifications, highlighting instances where interns are either appropriately matched or tasked duties unrelated to their expertise. is a qualitative which used an exploratory design. To select participants for face-to-face interview, purposive and snowballing sampling techniques were employed. A total six (6) statistics graduates in study. The found that placed roles aligned qualifications felt more prepared workplace, while those facing misalignment encounter challenges varying from boredom frustration. Furthermore, uncovered issues nepotism, lack mentorship, potential autocratic practices within some organizations hosting interns. Since has relatively small sample size focused only on very narrow group students, results cannot be generalized. However, have implications various stakeholders, collaboration between higher education institutions through formal agreements enhance effectiveness standardization experiences students graduates. Moreover, there need establishment structured programs well-defined key performance areas.
