Social support is a key predictor of well-being, but not everyone experiences mental health benefits from receiving it. However, given that growing number interventions are based on social support, it crucial to identify the features make individuals more likely benefit ties. Emerging evidence suggests neural responses positive feedback (i.e., reward) might relate individual differences in functioning, potential mechanisms linking these psychological outcomes yet unclear. This study examined whether correlates reward processing, indexed by positivity (RewP), individuals' affective experience following self-reported real-world events. To this aim, 193 university students (71% females) underwent an EEG assessment during Island Getaway task and completed 10-day ecological momentary where participants reported their negative affects (PA, NA) nine times day count daily Experiencing higher events was associated with PA. The RewP moderated association, such greater response at baseline had stronger association between Individual be one indicator likelihood experiencing affect when support.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in increased psychological issues such as excessive social media networking sites usage (SMNSU), loneliness, anxiety, and depression. In this quantitative study, we examined how SMNSU can directly indirectly influence depression, with loneliness anxiety mediator variables. A 39-item questionnaire was used to collect survey data on SMNSU, depression from 244 blended learning undergraduate students universities the Hunan province China. Partial least squares structural equation modeling conducted using SmartPLS 3.3.3 measure relationships between stated variables of interest. Results indicated that a direct, significant, positive relationship terms mediating effects, both have an intervening role association This study focused higher education sector China by recruiting who were enrolled courses during experiencing problems. Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has been associated with widespread increases in levels of stress and anxiety among young adults. Given that responses to stressful life events vary, it is important understand how pre-pandemic neurocognitive factors shape reactivity susceptibility anxiety. present study examines associations between brain activation patterns during cognitive control processing trajectories the pandemic.
