Abstract
DNA-based
approaches
to
systematics
have
changed
dramatically
during
the
last
two
decades
with
rise
of
DNA
barcoding
methods
and
newer
multi-locus
for
species
delimitation.
During
half-decade,
partly
driven
by
new
sequencing
technologies,
focus
has
shifted
sequence
data
identification
within
framework
multi-species
coalescent
(MSC).
In
this
paper,
I
discuss
model-based
Bayesian
delimitation
that
been
developed
in
recent
years
using
MSC.
Several
approximate
(and
their
limitations)
are
also
discussed.
Explicit

Automatic
Partitioning
(ASAP),
a
new
method
to
build
species
partitions
from
single
locus
sequence
alignments

quantifying

Barcoding
methods
are

importance

surveys

fast

distance-based

choice

with
large
datasets;

sensitive
to

evolutionary

(PTP)
method

phylogeny-aware

rely
on

weaknesses

accuracy

when

biodiversity
conservation
are
largely
based
on
geographic
areas,
ecosystems,
ecological
communities
