Abstract Cupriavidus metallidurans is able to thrive in metal-rich environments but also survives metal starvation. Expression of resistance determinants C. was investigated on a global scale. challenged with MultiTox mix specifically designed for the wildtype strain CH34 and its plasmid-free derivative AE104, including treatment ethylenediamintetraacetate (EDTA), or without challenge. The sense antisense transcripts were analyzed both strains under all three conditions by RNASeq. A total 10 757 (ASTs) assigned signals from genes untranslated regions, 1 319 these ASTs expressed longer than 50 bases. Most (82%) dual-use that contained (16%) observed had no regions. Especially metal-treated cells up- down-regulated accompanied transcription activities regulated. presence selected asRNAs verified reverse polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
