Since the Modern Synthesis, interest has grown in resolving "black box" between genotype and phenotype. Contained within this black box are highly plastic RNA proteins with global effects on chromosome integrity gene expression that serve as evolutionary capacitors - elements enable accumulation buffering of genetic variation normal conditions reveal hidden when induced by environmental stress.
