Niacin is well known not only as vitamin B3 but also an important chemical, and has wide applications in the fields of food, farming, medicine, pharmaceuticals, industry. With rapid development human society, requirement for niacin been increasing constantly worldwide. Meanwhile, green routes to produce under mild conditions become particularly urgent substitute conventional reaction process with consideration energy conservation emission reduction. Among various synthesis niacin, selective oxidation 3-methyl-pyridine hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) liquid phase focus research due its distinct advantages, such conditions, environmentally friendly processes, so on. Herein, zeolite-based catalysts have first applied from 30%H2O2 conditions. In addition, Cu-based 13X zeolite found show highest catalytic performance, optimal systems established. This work provides a optional route niacin.
