“Going Above and Beyond” in the Education Sector: Extension and Validation of the School Implementation Citizenship Behavior Scale (SICBS)
Abstract
Background:
Employee
behaviors
that
strategically
support
implementation
(i.e.,
citizenship
behavior)
are
hypothesized
to
promote
the
successful
adoption
and
high-fidelity
use
of
evidence-based
practices
(EBPs).
Implementation
may
vary
across
contexts,
including
schools
where
children
youth
most
likely
access
receive
mental
behavioral
health
services.
Extension
validation
pragmatic
measures
needed
advance
nascent
research
on—and
ultimately
inform
how
leverage
best—school-based
behavior.
The
current
study
expanded
Citizenship
Behavior
Scale
(ICBS)
create
validate
School
(SICBS)
in
a
sample
elementary
school
personnel
implementing
one
two
widely
used
prevention
programs
children’s
health.
Methods:
A
441
public
teachers
from
52
Midwest
Western
United
States
America
completed
survey
included
SICBS,
include
new
subscales
(taking
initiative,
advocacy),
additional
assess
convergent
divergent
validity.
SICBS
was
refined
validated
via
