To understand ester compound biosynthesis in kiwifruit, two Actinidia species with distinct characteristics were compared. The firmness of Donghong (Actinidia chinensis) and Ganlv-1 eriantha) fruits gradually decreased as the fruit ripened after harvest, whereas total soluble solids increased continuously, reaching a peak on 8th day. content was significantly lower than at optimal eating stage, alcohol acyltransferase (AAT) activity fruits. gene expression levels AAT1 AAT17 higher fruits, particularly remarkable difference observed for AAT1, which exhibited 36-fold when compared fully A transient overexpression kiwifruit led to significant increase content. Interestingly, natural variation promoter sequence between cultivars. Furthermore, separate analyses respective activities revealed In conclusion, is primarily responsible disparity resulting divergent accumulation aroma compounds during postharvest ripening stages.

Carrot is a highly significant vegetable cultivated worldwide and possesses unique aroma with abundant edible medicinal values. However, it remains largely unknown whether jasmonic acid could regulate formation in carrot. Here, an integrated analysis of the volatile metabolome transcriptome carrot roots exposed to different concentrations methyl jasmonate (MeJA) was performed. The results revealed 1,227 organic compounds 972 differential accumulated metabolites, terpenes representing largest portion. MeJA treatment evidently increased relative odor activity values as well accumulation most compounds. In addition, 4,787 differentially expressed genes were identified subjected function enrichment analysis, indicating role terpene biosynthesis metabolism response application. A network consisting 4,680 transcription factor-structural pairs that showed positive correlations constructed, which may be utilized genetic targets for examining elicited by jasmonate. from present work substantially improved our understanding MeJA-mediated

The aroma metabolites in grape berries have received attention recent years, but a global analysis of gene-regulated is still lacking. In this study, three cultivars, “Kyoho”, “Adenauer Rose”, and “Mei Xiangbao”, were used to determine the differential accumulation identify candidate genes related berry aroma. A total 27,228 detected from transcriptome, 128 differentially accumulated (DAMs) identified. Terpenoids ester major substances these cultivars. KEGG enrichment showed that 12, 8, 5 compounds significantly enriched during maturation process with most being terpenoids. combined transcriptome metabolome found associated following pathways: “Glycine, serine, threonine metabolism”, “Cysteine methionine “Tyrosine “Phenylalanine “Phenylalanine, tyrosine, tryptophan biosynthesis”. Seven structural (VvOMR1, VvGLYK, VvLPD2, VvAK2, VvSHM7, VvASP3, VvASP1) four transcription factors (VvERF053, VvERF4, VvMYB46, VvMYB340) discovered. Our findings provide new insights into formation regulatory mechanism research, results will be beneficial for breeding future.
