Abstract The elongation phase is a dynamic and highly regulated step of the RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) transcription cycle. A variety transcript factors (TEFs) comprising regulators RNAPII activity, histone chaperones, modulators modifications assist through chromatin. Thereby, TEFs substantially contribute to establish gene expression patterns during plant growth development. Beyond that, recent research indicates that transcriptional also play key role in responses environmental cues. Thus, certain (i.e. PAF1C, FACT, TFIIS) were found mediate reprogramming by different mechanisms tolerance abiotic conditions such as heat stress elevated salt concentrations.
