Loneliness is increasingly recognized as an urgent public health issue due to its impact on mental and physical health, well-being. Yet, we lack comprehensive, proven strategies for confronting this global problem. There evidence that contact with nature greenspace reduces loneliness by facilitating belonging, social connections, cohesion. This review aimed explore whether such positive outcomes can be enhanced via group-based interventions in nature. Abstract Background and Objectives The emergence of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) measures implemented to curb its spread may have deleterious effects on mental health. Media portrayals of a loneliness "epidemic" are premised on an increase in the proportion people living alone and decreases rates civic engagement religious affiliation over recent decades.
