Neurodevelopmental
abnormalities
are
considered

one

offspring
methylazoxymethanol
acetate
(MAM)–exposed
mice
recognized
for
dysregulation
neurodevelopment
and
well-characterized
with
schizophrenia-like
phenotypes.
However,
inhibition-related
properties
medial
prefrontal
cortex
(mPFC)
hippocampus
throughout
adolescence
adulthood
have
not
been
systematically
elucidated.
In
this
study,
both
10
15
mg/kg
MAM-exposed
exhibited
schizophrenia-related
phenotypes
in
adulthood,
including
spontaneous
locomotion
hyperactivity
deficits
prepulse
inhibition.
We
observed
that
there
was
an
obvious
parvalbumin
(PV)
loss
mPFC
mice,
extending
from
adulthood.
Moreover,
frequency
inhibitory
postsynaptic
currents
(sIPSCs)
pyramidal
neurons
at
significantly
dampened
mice.
Furthermore,
firing
rate
putative
increased,
while
decreased
during
conclusion,
PV
may
contribute
impaired
function
leading
attenuation
inhibition
brain
vitro
vivo.
