The present study assessed the effects of a metacognitive strategy-guided health management model on vascular endothelial function and quality life in patients with hypertension hyperlipidemia. Patient self-management ability, such as medication adherence, rational diet, moderate exercise, before after was by questionnaire (36-Item Short Form Health Survey, SF-36). Total cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), high-density (HDL-C), blood pressure (BP) were compared. Vascular evaluated: Serum levels endothelin-1 (ET-1) measured radioimmunoassay, serum nitric oxide (NO) nitrate reduction method. Quality SF-36. observation group (implementation management) had higher ability scores, lower lipid indicators, systolic diastolic BP, decreased ET-1 NO levels, greater scores than control (no management; all P < .05). Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults. Lifestyle modifications, including diet, physical activity, smoking cessation, are key to reducing cardiovascular risk. This study examines the combined effects these behaviors on outcomes their mediating mechanisms. Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted adults (aged ≥ 60 years) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Data dietary quality, status were collected using validated questionnaires. outcomes, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), systolic blood pressure (SBP), body mass index (BMI), measured. composite risk score computed. Path analysis employed assess direct indirect lifestyle factors outcomes. Results: Participants adhering healthy engaging regular avoiding had significantly lower scores. Non-smoking showed strongest effect (β = −0.20, p 0.006), while quality activity exhibited significant mediated by LDL, SBP, BMI. Combined adherence multiple resulted greatest reductions The path highlighted as critical mediators health improvements. Conclusions: modifications reduce adults, with cumulative benefits observed for behaviors. These findings emphasize importance comprehensive interventions targeting cessation promote aging populations.

Endothelial dysfunction and chronic inflammation are determining factors in the development progression of degenerative diseases, such as hypertension atherosclerosis. Among shared pathophysiological characteristics these two diseases is a metabolic disorder lipids lipoproteins. Therefore, contents quality proteins lipoproteins become targets therapeutic objective. One stages lipoprotein formation occurs through incorporation dietary by enterocytes into chylomicrons. Consequently, composition, structure, especially properties could be modified intake bioactive compounds. BACKGROUND: The pathophysiology of familial thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection (TAAD) is linked to genetic variants that affect components. Although hypertension a risk factor for TAAD, the precise link remains unclear. METHODS: A family with autosomal dominant TAAD complicated by was studied identify candidate mutations. effect identified mutation on development investigated using CRISPR-Cas9–generated knock-in mouse model elucidate mechanism underlying hypertension-induced TAAD. RESULTS: KCNJ5 p.R242Q in met criteria cosegregation, rarity, conservation. Background Patients with hypertension may have better survival rates when their lipid metabolism is in balance. The relationship between the novel composite metric, NHHR, and all-cause cardiovascular mortality hypertensive patients remains unknown warrants further investigation. Methods We analyzed data from 5,561 participants National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 1999 to 2018. To determine optimal NHHR cutoff point, we employed a maximum selection statistics approach. Participants were subsequently divided into groups for multivariate weighted Cox regression analysis. association risk was examined using restricted cubic splines (RCS). investigate possible variations among different populations, subgroup analysis interaction tests carried out. predictive capability of outcomes evaluated time-dependent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results Over median follow-up period 93 months, exhibited an rate 21.78% 7.32%. A markedly elevated death associated levels below 1.66 (HR 1.76; 95% CI 1.31-2.38; P < 0.001), as well increased 1.58; 1.31-1.91; 0.001). Methods: We systematically searched literature for studies published in English PubMed, Embase, Web Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials. The database was used to search relevant with full text hypertension versus usual care RevMan 5.4 data analysis. Results: A total 19 eventually met our inclusion criteria. results showed that group could significantly reduce levels SBP (MD=5.67, 95% CI=4.12-7.22, p<.001) DBP (MD=1.88, CI=1.16- 2.60, p<.001), compared group, it also improving patient's quality life (SMD=0.84, CI=0.32- 1.37, p=.002), waist circumference (MD=2.39, CI=0.35-4.44, p=.020) BMI (MD=0.49, CI=0.06-0.91, p=.020), increasing physical activity patients (SMD=0.19, CI=0.06- 0.31, p=.004). No obvious publication bias found this meta-analysis. Conclusion: This study can improve patients’ better BP control than care.
