Abstract Purposes Studies report significant increases in anxiety during the pandemic. In Argentina, after thirteen months of pandemic being declared, and depression indicators were still recorded. Considering that there is evidence about relationship between perceived social support mental health, this factor could mediate negative experiences, anxiety, depression. Therefore, testing two mediation models proposed: one experiences depression, mediated by support, another for these also support. Methodology: The sample consisted 664 adults from different cities Argentina. Pandemic Impact Questionnaire CAIR (C-PIQ), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Beck Depression (BDI-2), Multidimensional Scale Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) administered. Results: Two tested, which reported indirectly associated with through functioned as a mediating variable. Conclusions: This empirical investigation contributes to potential buffering effect on depressive symptoms anxiety. We evaluated the association between two measures of social connection prior to COVID-19-social isolation and functional support-and loneliness during pandemic. The study was a retrospective longitudinal analysis 20,129 middle-aged older adults enrolled in Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA). drew upon waves CLSA data spanning three years supplemental COVID-19 Questionnaire eight months conduct our analysis. Introduction The aging population in South Korea, characterized by an increasing number of older adults living alone, has raised concerns about its implications on mental health, specifically social isolation and loneliness that accompanies solitary arrangements.
