Objective: This study aims to investigate the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) as biomarkers in early diagnosis, monitoring and prognosis fetal growth restriction (FGR).Method: A literature review was carried out following PVO (Population, Variables Outcome) strategy. The search took place on PubMed database, using keywords "microRNA", "fetal restriction" "diagnosis", combined with Boolean operators. After initial screening 91 articles, 23 were selected based inclusion exclusion criteria.Discussion: miRNAs play an essential regulating growth, influencing processes such angiogenesis, apoptosis cell metabolism.Specific profiles, including miR-16-5p, miR-27b-3p, miR-206 miR-185-5p, have been associated placental function response hypoxia, suggesting their potential diagnostic prognostic biomarkers. However, there are differences between studies, especially regarding specificity sensitivity these markers, well limitations small sample sizes lack methodological standardization.Final considerations: miR-NAs show significant tools CRF, offering a promising approach for detection clinical follow-up.However, additional robust studies needed validate profiles identified explore interactions other molecular factors.Standardization methodologies development clear protocols enable practical incorporation into management providing more accurate diagnoses personalized interventions.
