Background: Accurate orientation of resected breast specimens is essential for proper pathological evaluation and margin assessment. Misorientation may compromise analysis, lead to imprecise re-excisions, increase the risk local recurrence. This study aims evaluate a novel specimen plate designed maintain consistent tissue compares its effectiveness traditional suture marking. Methods: In single-center, prospective, randomized two-arm trial, 56 were oriented with new 54 conventional sutures. Outcomes included intraoperative imaging interpretation, handling, assessment, focus on accuracy evaluation. Results: The significantly reduced misorientation (p < 0.01) improved interpretation during imaging. Pathologists reported greater ease in identifying direction tumor-free zones, leading more accurate Non-R0 resections requiring re-excision fewer (8.9%) compared marking (22.2%). Conclusions: newly developed can offer reliable solution improving cancer surgery; however, further validation multicenter studies needed confirm applicability across diverse surgical settings. By ensuring enhancing diagnostic it help reduce re-excisions improve patient safety.
