Abstract
From
concatenated
chromosomes
to
polyploidization,
large-scale
genome
changes
are
known
occur
in
parthenogenetic
animals.
Here,
we
report
mosaic
aneuploidy
larval
brains
of
facultatively
Drosophila
.
We
identified
a
background
D.
mercatorum
strains
and
found
increased
levels
the
brain
tissue
animals
arising
parthenogenetically
versus
those
from
sexual
reproduction.
There
is
also
intra-individual
variation
germline-derived
within
same
strain.
To
determine
if
this
general
feature
facultative
parthenogenesis
drosophilids,
compared
sexually
reproduced
offspring

engineered
strain
melanogaster
