Various motion cues can lead to the perception of animacy, including (1) simple characteristics such as starting move from rest, (2) patterns interactions like chasing, or (3) point-lights representing joints a moving biological agent. Due relevance dogs in comparative research and considering large variability within species, studying animacy provide unique information about how selection for specific traits individual-level (social) differences may shape social perception. Despite these advantages, only few studies have investigated phenomenon dogs. In this mini-review, we discuss current findings dynamics associated with drive dogs' visual attention.
