Purpose The purpose of the study is to enhance extant empirical and conceptual understanding Industry 4.0 (I4.0) adoption its repercussions for an organisation operating in emerging economy, considering dynamic capabilities framework. investigates (1) potential impact I4.0 phenomenon on relationships between organisations industry actors, (2) existing effects these (3) necessary measures unlock full order reinforce relationships. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative method was used. Semi-structured, open-ended face-to-face online interviews were conducted with 18 directors, managers chief executive officers (CEOs) Savico, a leading Vietnamese car dealership. Findings analysis revealed various dimensions highlighting impacts organisation–industry actor For instance, “enhancing internal/external operations” dimension highlights significance benefitting company’s close stakeholders through centralised management system or more advanced functions, while empowering-nimble outcomes underlines benefits enabling performance-based choices staff empowerment. Practical implications Technological phenomena such as regime require constant adaptive strategies, including knowledge acquisition talent development. Thus, has stakeholders, companies, educational institutions government agencies. Purpose Enhancing total factor productivity through digital transformation is a crucial pathway for the high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises.
