Innovation
is
vital
in
the
modern
economic
environment,
as
it
aims
to
improve
operational
efficiency,
competitiveness,
and
sustainability
of
enterprises.
The
study
aimed
examine
innovation
activity
Hungarian
small
medium-sized
enterprises
most
important
factors
influencing
their
innovation.
paper
employed
a
questionnaire
survey
spring
2024.
During
survey,
total
253
companies
were
interviewed
about
factors.
Based
on
results,
SME
sector
shows
developing
tendency.
A
positive
attitude
toward
increasingly
present
among
SMEs.
More
than
half
respondents
(53%)
believe
that
plays
key
role
maintaining
competitiveness.
However,
practice,
almost
two-thirds
(58%)
managers
do
not
involve
employees
processes,
or
only
partially,
suggesting
companies’
decision-making
processes
remain
centralized.
Statistical
analyses

size
nor
