ABSTRACT The study investigates how environmental strategies, board gender diversity, and CSR committees affect the circular economy performance in banking sector. For first time, we focus on three specific reduction goals: GHG emission reduction, e‐waste offering products to reduce negative impact. Using a sample of 671 listed worldwide banks from 63 countries 2010–2021, demonstrate that green strategies positively all targets. However, diversity impacts bank offered but does not influence reduction. Furthermore, presence committee significantly improves effectiveness adopted by achieving their performance. 2015 Paris Agreement climate change proves be effective enhancing outcomes.
