ABSTRACT This study explores the evolving circumstances of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications for humanity. A central question guides this exploration: “ What is humanity in a world with human‐like machines ?” as proposed by Suleyman (2023). Multiple streams literature have been integrated to employ holistic approach. includes an extensive review analysis recent developments, incorporating insights from various sources experts key domains such AI, AI singularity, ethics, digital transformation, human‐machine collaboration, societal implications. While rapid advancements captured widespread attention, particular emphasis on positive potential, it equally vital address potential negative impacts, including human displacement, lower wages, increased power income inequality (Farina, Yu, Lavazza 2024). Despite varying scholarly perspectives concept there consensus that significantly impacts humans society requires careful consideration. The National Institute Standards Technology (NIST) European Parliament highlight global significance addressing challenges. From practical perspective, these enormous governments, business leaders, scholars, society.

ABSTRACT The difference between the levels of e‐commerce adoption before and after COVID‐19 pandemic is debatable poorly explored in literature. This study examines digital environment's impact on performance Brunei Darussalam post‐COVID‐19. research required to understand changing dynamics Darussalam, particularly post‐COVID‐19 era where environment has emerged as a critical driver business operations. A structured survey was conducted with 248 respondents, including consumers businesses from various demographic groups, students, lecturers, civil servants, entrepreneurs. Data collection facilitated by using standardized questionnaires ensure consistency reliability responses. Estimates four regression models suggest that moderately affects ways: expansion cross‐border e‐commerce, improvement security value online financial transaction, prioritization protection intellectual property, strengthening specialties B2C, priority B2B G2C sectors. However, environmental challenges such limited platform access, capital constraints, regulatory issues remain. confirms importance environment, supports institutional transaction cost economics theories, highlights need remove transactional barriers sustainable economic growth Brunei.

Purpose This study explores the acceptance of ChatGPT as an auxiliary tool for enhancing travel experiences by extending technology model (TAM). It incorporates perceived convenience, information quality, personal innovativeness and compatibility to understand factors driving adoption in tourism. The research addresses a gap AI literature provides insights into users’ perceptions AI-driven technologies streamlining planning offering personalized, real-time assistance. Design/methodology/approach follows quantitative approach, collecting data through online survey on Prolific platform. A total 441 responses were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) assess relationships between variables moderating role compatibility. Findings findings confirm that attitude significantly influences behavioral intention, with enjoyment convenience shaping user attitudes toward ChatGPT. Perceived ease use impacts both usefulness but does not affect enjoyment. Information quality is key usefulness, while has mixed effects. Compatibility did moderate constructs, suggesting tool’s features may outweigh concerns adoption. Originality/value extends TAM hedonic contextual challenges assumptions about innovativeness, novelty like diminishes it becomes mainstream. offer fresh perspectives how meets needs.

Purpose The objective of this research is to examine the accelerated adoption mechanisms emerging technologies in information systems. Its goal comprehend drivers behind prompt assimilation technology trends such as TikTok, ChatGPT, mobile payment schemes, cryptocurrency and VR. Design/methodology/approach study follows systematic literature review methodology (using PRISMA protocol guide selection scholarly materials from Google Scholar, Scopus Springer). Specifically, draws on identified trajectories (ChatGPT, cryptocurrency, systems, virtual reality) systematically assess pertinent insights, theoretical lenses Disruptive Innovation Theory reach interpretations. Findings indicates that shaped by several variables user-centered design, network effects, content powered through algorithms, viral trends, ease-of-use accessibility features, engagement levels retention rates. Research limitations/implications specific platforms may limit generalizability findings. Social implications emergence new causing a shift societal behaviors norms, which has significant social implications. While TikTok offer opportunities for community-building, there are concerns regarding digital divide privacy issues need be addressed. So understanding impact these changes becomes vital achieving fairness access making technology's potential transformation practicalized effectively. Originality/value This enhances current body presenting thorough examination non-linear patterns involved adopting advanced technologies.
