Purpose
Intellectual
capital
(IC)
is
an
increasingly
important
strategic
asset
for
sustainable
value
creation
in
organisations.
This
paper
aims
to
provide
a
conceptual
perspective
on
the
university’s
role
as
catalyst
IC
and
development
within
dynamic
landscape
of
organisations,
exploring
nexus
capture
its
essence.
Design/methodology/approach
Adopting
framework
approach,
key
concepts
were
cohesively
coherently
synthesised
from
various
theoretical
underpinnings,
namely,
multiple
capitals
approach
maximising
corporate
creation,
evolved
triple
bottom
line
sustainability,
helix
innovation
model
subsequent
extensions,
upper
echelons
theory
social
licence
construct
linked
stakeholder,
legitimacy
institutional
theories.
Findings
A
comprehensive
was
developed
that
outlines
universities’
catalysing
four
forms
crucial
organisational
creation:
human
capital,
governance
social/relational
structural/organisational
capital.
The
interprets
this

serving
regional
ecosystems
development.
It
highlights
synergistic
between
organisations

society,
with
university
acting
driver.

Abstract
Sustainability
is
a
fundamental
value
that
all
organizations
strive
to
achieve,
including
universities.
Some
academics
argue
sustainability
not
only
principle
which
universities
should
commit,
but
also
they
have
the
potential
accelerate
its
implementation
and
catalyze
social
change
towards
more
sustainable
practices.
This
study
presents
specific
case
of
Faculty
Economic
Business
Sciences
(FCEyE)
at
Catholic
University
Cuyo
(UCCuyo),
examining
outcomes
Social
Responsibility
(USR)
plan.
The
methodology
employed
qualitative,
using
approach.
results
reveal
impacts
generated
by
USR
plan
in
key
areas
such
as
management,
teaching,
research,
outreach
FCEyE
UCCuyo.
These
findings
hold
significant
implications
for
leaders
other
Argentina.
In
conclusion,
highlights
importance
strategic
leadership
effectively,
comprehensively,
sustainably
adopting
policies
