Purpose The disconnect between producers and consumers is a fundamental issue causing irregularities, inefficiencies leakages in the agricultural sector, leading to detrimental impacts on all stakeholders, particularly farmers. Despite potential benefits of Metaverse technology, including enhanced virtual representations physical reality more efficient sustainable crop livestock management, research its impact agriculture remains scarce. This study aims address this gap by identifying critical success factors (CSFs) for adopting technology agriculture, thereby paving way further exploration implementation innovative technologies sector. Design/methodology/approach employed integrated methodology identify prioritise criteria adoption By mixed-method technique, identified total 15 CSFs through literature survey expert consultation, focusing technological professionals categorising them into three categories, namely “Technological”, “User Experience” “Intrinsic” using Kappa statistics. Further, uses grey systems theory Ordinal Priority Approach based their weights. Findings identifies essential These are categorised Technological, User Experience-related Intrinsic. findings reveal that most important include market accessibility, monetisation support integration with existing processes. Practical implications Identifying successful as business strategy, it requires collaborative effort from stakeholders prioritises Therefore, would be helpful practitioners decision-making prioritised list Originality/value contributes integrating two established theories adoption.
