It presents a comprehensive framework that highlights both drivers barriers specific Tier 2 cities, significant market for two wheelers in India. Although are preferred mode transport India, there has been limited research two-wheelers (E2Ws) their role achieving decarbonization goals. aims assess E2Ws cities across which represents wheelers. To explore this, employs qualitative approach using theoretical understand reasons behind non-adoption cities. Eighty-nine interviews were conducted different four northern states. The results identified several key adoption, including monetary savings, non-financial incentives, driving pleasure, ease use women senior citizens, suitability local travel, pro-environmental approach. Conversely, included high ownership costs, negative motives, inadequate space, poor repair service infrastructure, distrust, resale concerns, review consensus. From managerial perspective, this provides strategic insights marketers, outlining ways promote mass understanding addressing motivators inhibitors.

Purpose Electric vehicle adoption (EVA) drives sustainability by significantly reducing carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. Despite EVA’s notable advantages from existing literature its evolving nature, a gap persists in evaluating EVA research. This research presents systematic review, offering insights into the current state of advancements. Design/methodology/approach study amalgamates various factors influencing elucidates their associations, fostering sustainable transportation. To evaluate progress this domain, we adopt Theory-Context-Characteristics-Methodology (TCCM) framework, systematically assessing theories, contextual factors, characteristics methodologies employed to support efficient decision-making. Findings The reveals 18 prominently including theory planned behavior, innovation diffusion theory, technology acceptance model UTAUT. identifies diverse such as perceived risk, effort expectancy, social norms, performance government policy, personal attitude, behavioral control, subjective demographics ecological knowledge pivotal shaping attitudes intentions toward electric adoption. Furthermore, structured equation modeling emerges predominant methodology, while alternative approaches enriches methodological landscape, contributing more comprehensive understanding driving EV Practical implications gained can inform policymakers, manufacturers researchers, ultimately global transition towards transportation solutions. Originality/value research’s cardinal contribution lies developing an integrated theoretical novel approach that offers holistic perspective multifaceted determinants EVA. framework not only illuminates intricate relationships among these variables but also opens up exciting avenues for future

Purpose The motivation to choose an electric vehicle (EV) is guided by principles of personal values, perceived rewards and preferences. While the benefits sustainable transportation are known, acceptance EVs purchase them not satisfactory in India. An assessment continuum, a range intrinsic extrinsic societal drives that encourage specific choices, explains lack EV adoption country. This study aims examine effect types on intentions also explores moderating role gender this context. This study aims to determine the effects of variables within UTAUT 2 model on intention use a Fully Electric Car. In this context, data were collected through survey forms from 401 white-collar workers who are considered have higher economic status. Initially, validity and reliability analyses conducted scales used in Smart PLS program, subsequently, hypotheses interpreted using results obtained structural equation modeling. study, it was found that effort expectancy, social influence, perceived ease use, hedonic motivation, habit had positive significant impact electric vehicles. Performance expectancy has negative effect cars, while price no effect. It determined vehicles mediate relationship between actual usage behavior. research can offer contributions literature, particularly by examining influence behavioral motivation vehicle intention. By testing context acceptance, supports universality applicability various technologies. Emphasizing role such as acceptance adds new dimension model. Thus, makes an important contribution technology research.

Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) are a crucial innovation for achieving sustainable transportation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which major contributors to global warming climate change. While previous studies have explored attitudes towards BEV technology acceptance, few examined the interplay of external factors such as government measures adoption barriers in promoting mobility. This study addresses this gap by investigating roles policies, usage obstacles diffusion stimulating purchase intentions, while applying Innovative Diffusion Theory (IDT). Data from 3632 respondents Thailand were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) examine causal relationships between factors. The results indicate that policies supporting users enhance society, leading increased intentions. Furthermore, effective help mitigate usage, further encouraging adoption. also reveals intentions vary across age groups, highlighting need targeted approaches transportation. These findings contribute development evidence-based policy recommendations accelerate adoption, Thailand’s Carbon Neutrality goals broader objectives. By elucidating complex dynamics research provides valuable insights policymakers stakeholders working more environmentally friendly sector.

Purpose Balcony solar panels are popular and widespread in most EU Member States, except Hungary, where their use is currently banned. However, the lifting of this strict ban expected to be approved near future. The aim research investigate which factors influence residents’ intention balcony Hungary how strong these impacts are. Design/methodology/approach Unified theory acceptance technology 2 (UTAUT2) applied predict may behavioral technology. Six components tested: performance expectancy, effort social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation price value. Data were gathered 2023 using an online survey. A quota sampling method was employed during data-collection process. Findings Our results confirm importance all expectancy. In addition economic benefits that can achieved, citizens consider energy independence a sense freedom important adoption such systems. Research limitations/implications Despite large share positive responses (expressed intention) identified, gap between action expected. Practical implications To increase rate acceptance, transparent regulation, simplified administration application nudges crucially important. systems hindered by lack modern, energy-efficient building stock, emphasizing urgency deep renovation Hungarian household sector.
