Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can potentially revolutionize classroom practices. English as a Foreign Language or Second (EFL/ESL) classrooms in higher education (HE) are also privy to the transformative features of AI. However, there is limited research on Bangladeshi HE teachers’ AI usage teaching. This study, recognizing this gap, investigates experiences and perceptions using at tertiary-level classes. Data were collected employing an open-ended qualitative survey distributed among 17 teachers from various public private universities Bangladesh. A thematic analysis suggests that most participants regularly use Turnitin, ChatGPT, Grammarly other tools. While some did not routinely integrate into activities, considered them efficient auxiliary tool for improving writing, vocabulary, grammar, designing materials, detecting plagiarism. The results revealed teachers' concerns about their lack readiness students’ malpractices such cheating disinclination towards critical thinking. Based findings, researchers discovered effective integration learning occur through balance human-led AI-led instructions. study recommended need capacity building skills training mediators contextually relevant usage, predominantly writing.
