The metaverse provides a virtual world with many social activities that parallel the real world. As attracts more attention, importance of security and privacy preservation is increasing significantly. In metaverse, users have capability to create various avatars, which can be exploited deceive or threaten others, leading internal issues. Additionally, attempting access are susceptible external threats since they communicate service providers through public channels. To address these challenges, we propose an authentication scheme using blockchain, decentralized identifier, verifiable credential enable perform secure identity verification without disclosing sensitive information providers.
