This paper proposes extending the system-level programming language SystemJ to interact with industry control software TwinCAT introduce dynamic behaviors into TwinCAT-based systems. The approach extends abstract signal classes using Automation Device Specification (ADS) protocol access status and variables, allowing new high-level concepts like reconfigurability of industrial automation systems originally designed traditional languages tools. We created prototypes realistic manufacturing testbeds conducted experiments validate proposed by accessing different types variables.

Smart manufacturing is transforming the industry by enhancing productivity and quality, driving growth in global economy. The Internet of Things (IoT) has played a crucial role realizing Industry 4.0, where machines can communicate interact real-time. Despite these advancements, security remains major challenge developing deploying smart manufacturing. As cyber-attacks become more prevalent, researchers are making top priority. Although IoT Industrial (IIoT) used to establish industries, systems remain vulnerable various types attacks. To address issues, numerous authentication methods have been proposed. However, many known attacks, such as physical security, privileged-insider, impersonation or high computational communication costs, them unsuitable for resource-limited devices. Therefore, this paper, we present new approach mutual between flexible system unit, user, server. It enables secure an IIoT-enabled system, which represents industry. This achieved through establishment session keys. analysis shows effectiveness proposed solution resisting Additionally, comparison with other existing schemes reveals that our proposal outperforms terms performance.

In manufacturing, biologicalisation defines the analysis of biological patterns as a source inspiration to model intelligent manufacturing systems. This is highly desirable an answer increasing complexity modeling current engineering solutions which are required be self-organized, cooperative, and autonomous. Building on this line research, our paper introduces framework inspired by notion "reciprocal altruism" observed in species like vampire bats. The goal twofold; first, showcase bio-inspired methodological guidelines altruism context. Second, foster cooperative behaviors among its constitutive resources (equipment, machine, or robot that capable autonomously performing task). core idea revolves around assignment two roles: altruistic/donors recipients. context, individuals willing share their capabilities with those need, even at potential cost own fitness. We believe concept has versatile applications various scenarios, ranging from peer-to-peer energy sharing mobile robots load tool sharing. work, we instantiate control logic, functionalities, proof altruistic approach, focusing tool-sharing illustrative application. Our preliminary results demonstrate improvement when comparing approach manual one. particularly evident considering production downtime rate fluctuations caused defects. These findings underscore tangible benefits can offer addressing ongoing challenges smart especially terms design.

Scheduling and optimization have a central place in the research area of computing because it is increasingly important to achieve fully automated production processes adjust manufacturing systems requirements Industry 4.0. In this paper, we demonstrate how an wet-etch scheduling problem for semiconductor industry can be solved by constraint answer set programming (CASP) its solver called clingcon. A successful solution achieved, found that all tested problems, CASP faster obtains smaller makespan values seven eight problems than solutions based on mixed integer linear paradigms. The considered includes robot lot transfers between baths. hybrid approach reasoning combines different areas such as programming, processing, Satisfiability Modulo Theories. For long time, exact methods displayed difficulties solving real large-scale instances. Currently, performance state-of-the-art solvers comparatively better decade ago, some complex combinatorial solved. These theoretical technical achievements open new horizons declarative applications logistics.
