Against a backdrop of globalization, dynamic shifts in consumer demand, and climate change impact, the intricacies agri-food supply chains have become increasingly convoluted, necessitating innovative measures to guarantee security authenticity. Blockchain technology emerges as promising solution, offering transparency, immutability, traceability, efficiency overall chain. This study aims investigate determinants impacting both intention use actual usage blockchain-driven chain platforms. To achieve this, an expanded adapted conceptual model rooted Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology (UTAUT) was formulated empirically examined through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling using data from 175 respondents companies across eight European countries. Agri-Food Supply Chain Partner Preparedness (FSCPP) emerged pivotal factor with highest degree influence on Additionally, results this offer support for significant Performance Expectancy (PE), Effort (EE), Perceived Trust (PT) intention, while also revealing positive impact Organizational Readiness (OBR) expected Usage Behavior (UB). provides insights into blockchain adoption within chains, contributing existing literature extended UTAUT framework.

Despite its status as one of the most ancient sectors worldwide, agriculture continues to be a fundamental cornerstone global economy. Nevertheless, it faces obstacles such lack trust, difficulties in tracking, and inefficiencies managing supply chain. This article examines potential blockchain technology (BCT) alter agricultural industry by providing decentralized, transparent, unchangeable solution meet faces. The initial discussion provides an overview challenges encountered industry, followed thorough analysis BCT, highlighting advantages. Following that, explores other uses for technology, chains, verifying products, processing payments. Currently, there is an increasing pressure to decarbonize and meet energy demands. In this regard, the usage of renewable sources becoming more prominent. Biomass can significantly contribute effort. However, due logistical costs, its exploitation often considered less 'desirable.' Sometimes, particularly in context residual biomass, open burning on site desirable. This study aims optimize biomass supply chain by leveraging digitalization's advantages, thereby creating a new model for purpose. Methodologically, research initially adopted empirical approach, analyzing documents from project that recreated current scenario. second phase, involved literature review gather insights needed developing final model. Consequently, offers three major contributions: detailed mapping scenario, comprehensive synthesis potentials emerging technologies chain, illustrating integration these biomass. Thus, presents opportunity transform common 'leftover' into value-added material. To better assess model's value, two analyses, PEST SWOT, were conducted align conceptual proposal with real-world contexts.

Agri-food safety issues have received widespread attention globally. The emergence of blockchain technology (BCT) effectively addresses trust in the agri-food supply chain traceability system (AFSCTS). However, append-only feature has led to continuous linear data growth BCT-based AFSCTSs, which increases equipment requirements and become a bottleneck for AFSCTS applications. storage capacity required by AFSCTSs can be reduced deleting expired data, thereby reducing pressure on devices lowering device requirements. In this paper, we propose an architecture that incorporates redactable InterPlanetary file (IPFS) technologies achieve with low pressure, using wheat as proof concept. Firstly, key links were analyzed demand was proposed based timeliness data. Secondly, lightweight accountable parallel called LAP-chain is proposed. This utilizes offload IPFS, ensuring accountability through IPFS. Finally, evaluate correctness, collision resistance, performance built Ethereum private chain. results show when are permanently retained, only 52.38% traditional architecture, after running continuously 36 months. When deleted accordance food laws regulations various countries, from level constant compared architecture. potential contribute improving quality agri-food.
