Abstract Throughout industrial revolutions, equipment downtime mitigations have been one of the ultimate goals most factories. Several tools, such as human machine interface (HMI) alarming systems or predictive maintenance schedules, assist in reducing system but still depend on operators’ ability to swiftly retrieve, understand, and efficiently act upon reported failures. We propose design a hybrid experimental artificial intelligence (AI) generative AI chatbot HMI that effectively extracts factory conditions are useful for troubleshooting analysis. achieve these functions by feeding factory-monitored data customized application tool running its back-end, Langchain agent linked OpenAI GPT $$-$$ - 3.5 language model (LM) via APIs. our front-end with Streamlit, an open-source web app. In context I5.0, uses personalized natural language, English, interact operator, making information extraction more understandable. also integrate capability LM augments based loaded format create larger dataset additional tasks like learning modelling. The results show accuracy when retrieving specific prompts advantages reduced time compared operations traditional factories, which highly dependent supervisors’ interventions. Our study provides valuable example upgrading standard HMIs I5.0-capable ones implementing chatbots within operational environments.

Abstract Machine breakdowns are alarming threats to factories. They can substantially decrease productivity, cause financial losses, and create unsafe work environments for operators. Early detection of system anomalies is crucial prevent fix machine before they become fatalities. With the advent digitalisation smart manufacturing, various artificial intelligence (AI) learning (ML) techniques contribute implementing efficient anomaly systems with more accurate results. In this research, design an experimental platform (ADP) was suggested a conveyor motor system. The ADP analyses time‐series parameters accurately classifies whether would faulty authors build classification ML model using dendritic gated neural networks (DGNN) achieve better accuracy. Dendritic Neural Networks highly immune forgetting, contributing performance than regular (ANNs) backpropagation. also includes fault section motors' recurrent (RNN) regression models predict sensor values. When training models, predicted serve data augmentation purposes. This contributes robust double‐layered ADP, preventing from inputs output level. solution suits small traditional factories limited historical records. results show benefits our built on DGNN over several such as ANN, convolutional network (CNN), support vector (SVM).
