Education is an activity that involves great cognitive load for learning, understanding, concentrating, and other high-level tasks. The use of the electroencephalogram (EEG) brain imaging techniques in education has opened scientific field neuroeducation. Insights about mechanisms involved learning assistance evaluation optimization methodologies according to student responses main target this field. Being a multidisciplinary field, neuroeducation requires expertise various fields such as education, neuroinformatics, psychology, science, neuroscience. need comprehensive guide where important issues are presented examples their application research projects given apparent. This paper presents overview current hardware software options, discusses methodological issues, gives best practices found recent literature. These were selected by applying PRISMA statement results returned searching PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar with keywords “EEG neuroeducation” published last six years (2018–2024). Apart from basic background knowledge, two questions regarding aspects (experimental settings used) subject type information used EEG signals addressed discussed.
