Owing to limited resources, implementing conventional security components in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) rather than is difficult. Because most nodes are typically powered by batteries, the battery power should be sufficiently long prevent shortening of network lifetime. Therefore, many studies have focused on detecting and avoiding energy drainage attacks WSNs. However, a survey paper has yet published for drain WSNs since 2019. we present novel comprehensive First, address an overview their issues. Next, explain methodology this study existing approaches layered architectures. Based results analysis, open issues further research directions presented.
