Force plates have been widely used in various scientific fields to measure ground reaction forces experienced by animals and humans. A force plate that incorporates mechanical springs non-contact displacement sensors offers the advantages of facilely modifying its shape performance. However, design protocol was limited adjusting size spring constants supporting at four corners. Herein, we propose an optimization method for determining constant distribution a plate. The proposed enables use simulations optimize properties plate, such as resonant frequency error due position. experimental results demonstrated fabricated 133 Hz position within ±5%. These confirm can be effectively adjusted through optimization.
